The course focused on how education becomes 'EDGY'-cation and how to embrace the change towards Education for Sustainability (EfS). EfS allows every human being to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values necessary to shape a sustainable future. This often requires far-reaching changes in the way education is practiced today. This course is about adaptability in education and the ways you can change the bit you're part of to the best effect. Educators will get training in how to incorporate permaculture with their own work, by helping them discover more depth about permaculture and implicitly by ‘living permaculture’ in their own ways. (March 2017)

‘Building Entrepreneurial Communities’ (2017)

The course focused entirely on Education for Sustainability and the methodology of entrepreneurial learning. The methodology is the transformative element. As a methodology the focus is on the human endeavour, requiring attention to the way that our attitudes are shaped, our skills developed, our networks formed. And so it is inseparable from education – not independent of it. The skills, habits, and attitudes of the entrepreneur are the same ones we ultimately want to help our students develop in all areas of their learning, and the only way to generate them is to allow room for them to develop.
