WHERE DOES THE COURSE TAKE PLACE?
The school is situated in the rural village of Sibang Kaja in beautiful Bali Island. The campus can be easily accessed by bicycle, motorcycle or car – it is located about 30-mins from Ubud or Canggu; 1 hour from Seminyak, Sanur and 1,5 hour from the Airport.
WHAT AIRPORT DO I FLY INTO?
I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali - there are many flights in and out of Bali each day, which makes it easy to get to and from Bali from multiple locations.
HOW TO GET THERE?
For transportation from the Airport to Green School/Green Camp Lodge vice versa, Gojek or Grab apps are recommended. You can download Gojek or Grab apps on your phone and book it there. You can choose to go with a scooter or a car on the apps and pay by cash (it's like an Uber app). It costs around IDR150,000 - 200,000. (Please note that some areas are listed as red zone, such as Ubud, meaning you won't be able to get online transport and driver won't pick you up from this area, but drop off is okay).
For pick up service, we can help you to arrange it. It costs usually around IDR 300,000 - 350,000 from Airport to Green School/ Green Camp Lodge and vice versa (also depends on the traffic). If you wish to use the service, please drop an email to email@example.com and provide us with your flight booking details.
WHERE IS A GOOD PLACE TO STAY?
Prior and after the course, you can book a cozy place from these websites: Booking.com, Agoda, Tiket.com, Traveloka, or AirBnb. There are not many options around Green School for accommodation, but there are Green Village and Bambu Indah.
IS BALI GOOD PLACE TO TRAVEL TO ON MY OWN?
Bali is a very safe place for single travelers and it is likely you will make many friends during the course.

I AM NOT A TEACHER, CAN I STILL ATTEND THE COURSE?
Green Educator Course focuses on teachers and school administrators, but we are also excited to welcome people who would like to learn more about education for sustainability and sustainable lifestyle.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY FOR PEOPLE IN THE COURSE?
Courses have varied in size but we try to keep to a maximum of 20 people to maintain a conducive learning environment.
DO YOU OFFER SPECIAL GROUP RATES?
We do NOT offer group rates or discounts.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?
Notification of withdrawal from GEC must be submitted in writing.
30 days or more is given as notice – 75% of the registration fee will be refunded.
Less than 30 days notice – 25% of the registration fee will be refunded.
Less than 2 weeks notice – no refunds will be issued.
Alternatively, if participants cannot attend the course due to last minute changes (at least 2 weeks notice is required prior to the course) – they may use the fee as a credit to the next courses but we cannot guarantee which courses will be offered in the future. The credit will be void if it remains unused for 6 months, counted effectively from the sign up date of the first chosen course.
NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN FOR THE FOLLOWING:
– Failure to attend the course for any reason (see “Cancellation Policy”)
– Act of God
– Dismissal from Green School
– Rebellion, riot or civil commotion
– Destruction of any school facility due to any cause
– Closures due to national or natural disasters beyond our control

CAN I BE HIRED AS A TEACHER IN GREEN SCHOOL AFTER ATTENDING THE COURSE?
Joining the Green Educator Course doesn’t guarantee you to be hired in Green School, although it will definitely make you understand better about Green School system, expand your network and enrich your knowledge about project-based learning and education for sustainability. CAN I MEET SOMEONE IN GREEN SCHOOL WHO CAN GIVE ME MORE INSIGHTS ABOUT SPECIFIC TOPIC?
You can reach out to our team to express your interest and we will try our best to put you in touch with the right person however it will depend on their availability.
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?
Days are packed with activities from early morning until dinner – 8 AM - 6 PM. Some optional activities may be offered before breakfast or after dinner. A detailed schedule of program will be sent to registered participants one week before the course begins.
WHO ARE FACILITATING AT THE COURSE?
The facilitators will be our own Green School Faculty Members. Sometimes we do invite keynote speakers to share their expertise.
ARE THERE ANY ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE THE CAMPUS DURING THE WEEK?
Yes, during the week there will be one or two days where we take the group to go out, learn and experience nature, local community, culture and tradition. You may also get an opportunity to join students’ projects/activities outside the school.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
This course is designed for anyone who is passionate and interested in putting sustainability at the center of their daily life, especially for school teachers and administrators. Basic English speaking, listening and reading comprehension is required. Participants have to be over 21 years of age and committed to engage actively during transfer of learning process with facilitators, colleagues and peers.
WHERE DO I STAY DURING THE COURSE?
Participants will stay overnight on the Green School campus. For 5 Days 4 Nights, you will experience green living at its finest while sleeping in Green Camp Lodge - located across the river on the east side of campus. The lodge is a dormitory style accommodation, male and female will sleep separately. Each dorm can accommodate 20 people between 2 floors in bamboo bunk beds, built around the perimeter and a common area in the middle. It is equipped with blankets, towels, mosquito nets, individual lockers for valuables, cooled by a ceiling fan and bathroom facilities supported by wastewater gardens. Laundry service is available with extra charge, please contact the team member upon arrival.
IS IT REQUIRED TO STAY IN THE ACCOMMODATION ON CAMPUS DURING THE COURSE?
Yes, we ask that all participants stay on campus, including those from Bali – this is part of the experience.
WHAT KIND OF FOOD IS PROVIDED?
We will serve a variety of tasty Indonesian and Western vegetarian organic food, prepared by Green School’s amazing kitchen team. Coffee, tea and snacks are also provided throughout the course. Any dietary restrictions can be listed on the registration form.
CAN I LEAVE EARLY DURING THE COURSE AND WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?
Participants are expected to be punctual and encouraged to participate around 8 hours per day or equal to 42 - 47 hours of program during the week. If for some reason participants need to leave and couldn’t attend some sessions, please make sure to inform us in advance.
DO I GET A CERTIFICATE?
Certificates of Completion will be given to participants at the end of the course.
WHAT IF I FALL SUDDENLY ILL DURING THE COURSE? IS THERE A HOSPITAL NEARBY?
We have our first aid stations with experienced nurses on standby during regular school hours and there are a number of hospitals that we can call on in case of an emergency and also 24-hours security team on campus. Emergency procedures will be discussed upon arriving to Green School. For any further concerns about health related issues, please contact us directly.
IS THERE ANY PRAYING PLACES NEARBY?
Feel free to step away from the group at any time for your religious practices. We’re happy to suggest a quiet location on campus to step away to as well. There are some church and mosque nearby but participants have to arrange their own transport to and from there.
CAN I INTERACT WITH THE STUDENTS DURING THE COURSE?
Participants will be on campus during school hours but we make all efforts not to disturb classes and regular programmes of students and teachers. There may be moments built into course where participants will engage with our students but these will be planned and discussed. Please be aware not to take pictures of our students and teachers as this is against our School policies.
CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN/FAMILY/FRIENDS?
We do not provide any childcare and we ask that you don’t invite visitors or children to the campus during the course due to security reasons – as they are not allowed to hang around the campus without Green School staff. All visitors may join a public tour at 9.00 to 10.00 AM Weekdays and 10.30 to 11.30 AM Weekends, excluding National Holidays. Details about the public tour can be found by visiting our website here.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU HOLD GREEN EDUCATOR COURSE?
We aim to offer the programme for six times a year (excluding any potential customized courses).
